The Window Coverings Association of Australia is made up of 5 State Associations and a National Board and Secretariat. Together we provide the Industry with a united voice, fellowship, a forum for us all to meet and discuss common issues and problems as well as providing many benefits, such as:

STATE NEWSLETTERS

NATIONAL MATTERS
At present a national committee is working with government and A.T.O on GST Issues. We are represented on two Australian Standards Committees, Care Labeling and Furnishing Fabrics. We are also working on new recommendations with the Dry Cleaning Industry to improve drape dry cleaning standards (particularly coated fabrics).
REFERENCE MANUAL (Trade standards and practices)
This manual contains a considerable amount of information for our industry. It is presently being updated and will be available to members as soon as possible.
COUNTRY MEMBERS
State representatives try very hard to visit our Country Members. Individual visits are often impossible, but we do try to arrange functions in areas that are central to the cut distance problem a little. If you wish to discuss this please contact
CARE LABELS
Our Queensland chapter is responsible for distributing Care Labels and fibre content labels, which are compulsory by law - they must be sewn into every item of soft furnishings. Please ph 1300 360 783 ask for Bev. The fax no is 1300 850 783.

MEMBERSHIP
Membership in Queensland is based on the Financial Year; Membership Renewal Invoices are issued June 30th for the following year. The General Membership Fee for 2010/2011 is $302.50- (some variations apply- check details on the Web-site or ph.1300 360783.
A colour Membership Certificate and window decal is issued to all Members upon renewal or joining.
