Again, 2010 continued with much dynamic activity.
Including,
* representation at DESIGN & DECORATION, SYDNEY 3/2 & MELBOURNE 15/7.
* our first regional network meeting, - Ballarat. 26/5
* Collaborative networking with ACASPA, which has brought EXPO 2011 and RMIT
information courses available to our industry.
* Collaborative networking with Manufacturing Skills Australia which has help form a cross
industry skills project with the intention of offering specific tailor made short courses for
industries in niche areas where training and finding skilled people is becoming more difficult.
* An increased profile in Window Furnishings Australia, trade magazine , covering a number
of topics.
* successful outcomes of consultations carried out by our inspections officer.
* 6 x new first time members.
* State membership up from 46 to 52 members.
* Continued progress on the establishment of Industry standards for Roller Blinds.
The WINDOW COVERINGS ASSOCIATION OF VICTORIA INC is committed to
